The Journey began as just an idea for the Boise area. An idea for creating a place to bring people, all people to a more fulfilled and life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. We invite everyone to come as they are. The Journey has grown and continues to grow because all are welcome here.

a mission to pursue

The Journey exists to lead people into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ! Because of that, it's our goal to do everything possible to be a place that spiritually curious people find irresistible. We seek to lead irresistible lives here, in our homes, at our jobs, in our schools, with our friends, and in our communities!

A Culture of Embrace

God has given equal and immeasurable value to every person regardless of age, gender, race, religion, worldview, lifestyle, or wherever he or she may be at on their journey. Knowing this, we actively seek to embrace and include every person with whom we have the privilege of crossing paths. We will do our best to refrain from judgmental attitudes and actions that only serve to alienate and anger. We actively seek to cross roads and unseen barriers with those who may feel far from God. We will do everything in our power to build up every person, desiring God's absolute best! People matter because people last forever!

A Message that Matters

We recognize that God has set us in this city and this valley at this time for a specific reason. Because the Bible is the best road map for our journey and the message of Christ is timeless and unchanging, we will communicate it in a way that is relevant to 21st Century life and reaches as many people as possible.

A Team that Wins

There are many ways to do church. But the best way to do it is as a team! And teams that work together toward a common goal win! Every person at The Journey is gifted by God. Everyone has a significant part on this team. When we team in pursuit of our mission we will win - goals will be met, prayers answered, miracles will happen. There is nothing that is beyond our reach!

Love is patient. Love is kind. Love does not envy. Love always hopes. Love always perseveres. Love always trusts. Love does not boast. Love rejoices with the truth. Love is not self-seeking. Love always protects. It is not easily angered. It keeps no records of wrong. It does not delight in evil. Love does not dishonor others. LOVE NEVER FAILS.
— I Corinthians 13:4-8
Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some.
