April Starratt’s passion is for children and families.  She has worked with children all of her life from helping other children in school as a child, to babysitting as a teen, to working in preschools and owning a home day care as a young adult, to homeschooling her own kids and working in children’s ministry at four different churches.  Collectively she has been employed in the childcare/children’s ministry field for over 35 years.  Her heart and passion is to grow children for Jesus and to equip families to build strong relationships with each other and God.  She is thrilled to work with such an awesome team of loving volunteers at such a fabulous church!!

Katrina Wendland

WORSHIP MINISTRY DIRECTOR

Katrina has been attending the Journey Church since 2015 where she and her husband Ethan (Pastor of Administration) served for a number of years before being Ethan was called to serve on staff part-time. She fully supported Ethan’s call to youth ministry and simultaneously served faithfully on the worship team as a volunteer. Though she was convinced she would never be on staff at a church, she was convicted and began to pray that the Lord would open an opportunity if it was His will. She now leads our worship and tech ministries bi-vocationally and is absolutely walking in her calling and sharing her gift of leading people in worship. Ethan and Katrina have two amazing children.

Sherry retired from the business in 2020, sold her motorcycle and started quilting for her pastime. Tim formed a new Corporation for Happy Trails in 2020 with a new Partner and is still working full time. Tim became good friends with Carl Struthers of Carl’s Cycle Sales through motorcycling.
